On 13 November 2013, Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Digital Agenda, Michel Barnier, Member of the EC in charge of Internal Market and Services, and Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the EC in charge of Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, participated in the final plenary meeting of the "Licences for Europe" stakeholder dialogue in Brussels, Belgium. During this meeting the participants made pledges to overcome problems European citizens faced in four areas: cross-border access and portability of services; user-generated content and micro-licensing; audiovisual heritage and text and data mining.
