On 17 July 2013 Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, paid a visit to Hazem el-Beblawi, Egyptian Prime Minister ad interim, in Cairo, Egypt. She also participated in a meeting with NGOs Representatives.
