4th European Civil Protection Forum with the participation of Kristalina Georgieva

The 4th European Civil Protection Forum was held on 15 and 16 May 2013 in Brussels.On 15 May, Kristalina Georgieva, Member of the EC in charge of International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, made an opening address and then took part in a panel discussion on "The European and international framework for disaster management - Prospects for the future". During this plenary session, a video of the opening ceremony of the European Emergency Response Centre (ERC) was shown. It included a speech by José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC.
