Visit of Catherine Ashton to China: meeting with the Heads of Mission; meeting with Dai Bingguo, former Chinese State councilor

On 26 April 2013, Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, went to Beijing where she met with Dai Bingguo, former Chinese State Councillor. The visit came at an important moment in the development of EU/China relations because the country had just completed its leadership change and both sides were intent on taking the EU/China relationship forward.
