This newspackage illustrates Roma projects in Romania:
- School No 1 in the town of Jilava, a suburb of Bucharest (10.000 inhabitants), in Romania. 10% of the students are Roma people. The school is planning to merge with School No 2 of the same town, Jilava, where 90% of the students are Roma people (500 students in total). Different activities, for the parents and the children of both Roma and Romanians are being run by the school teachers and Romani CRISS Association.
- School No 136, in Bucharest, which was renovated with EU funds.
- BNS (Bloc National Sindical), which developed social businesses with the help of the European Social Fond, Human Resources Development 2007-2013. The objective of the project is to develop cooperation practices in the field of Roma inclusion in order to promote their inclusion in the European labour market and employment increased capacity among organizations dealing with Roma integration from Romania.
