Vice-President Šefčovič helps give human face to Commission services
Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič took part on Monday in an 'info tour' organised for European Commission staff in Brussels and designed to give a human face to the people behind key services such as pensions, salaries and sickness insurance.
The tour, organised by the Paymaster's Office (PMO) of the European Commission, focused on staff from six directorates general, and was held in the Breydel building in Brussels.
The tours, of which this was the third organised for Commission staff in Brussels, are designed to improve communication between the PMO and staff, and respond to the Vice-President's request for simpler and less-bureaucratic procedures for the payments of allowances, salaries and pensions.
As the Commissioner responsible for human resources, V-P Šefčovič welcomed the info tour, underlining the importance of ensuring that Commission staff benefit from top quality services.
