e-Domec is the "Electronic archiving and Document management policy of the European Commission".
e-Domec aims to ensure the consistency of document management in all Commission departments. Standard and uniform rules serve to make sure that the Commission is able, at any time, to provide information on the matters for which it is accountable. These rules are implemented through the IT system ARES/NOMCOM.
The legal basis for e-Domec consists of the following two decisions and their implementing rules:
