European Parliament and OLAF sign new Practical Arrangements

Today, Klaus Welle, the Secretary-General of the European Parliament, and Giovanni Kessler the Director-General of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), signed new Practical Arrangements between their two institutions.

The new Practical Arrangements aim to ensure the effectiveness of investigations conducted by OLAF in the European Parliament and to facilitate cooperation between the services of the Parliament and those of OLAF.



The Practical Arrangements set out the details of cooperation between the European Parliament and OLAF under the framework of the OLAF Regulation,[1] the Interinstitutional Agreement of 25 May 1999 [2]and the Rules of Procedure of the European Parliament.
