EU Projects and Funding
European Commission's financial programmes are important tools for developing partnerships and policies in the Member States and with third countries.
Some examples of funding programmes - Prevention and fight against crime (ISEC); the Daphne Programme: Measures to combat violence against women, young persons and children; European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR); Thematic Programme Migration and Asylum - where actions against trafficking in human beings have been - and are - among the set priorities. Focus has been on support and training for the enactment of anti-trafficking legislation, investigation and prosecution and on support, protection and assistance to victims of trafficking in human beings.
