Pro-tukipiste is organizing a seminar in Helsinki with speakers from Pro-tukipiste and senior officer Maija Koskenoja from the office of the National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings.
There will be a screening of researcher Sine Plambech’s (visiting professor in Columbia University) movie Becky’s Journey, a story about sex work, migration, and trafficking in human beings from the perspective of a Nigerian woman Becky.
In the event, Pro-tukipiste will also present three stories of persons who have sought assistance as victims of trafficking. Pro-tukipiste supports the inclusion of sex workers and other often marginalized communities and individuals to the fight against trafficking and other types of exploitation. On the EU Anti-Trafficking Day, Pro-tukipiste will publish an animation clip about the power of communities in the fight against trafficking in human beings and a list of indicators that can be used to help to identify trafficking situations.
The event is fully booked.
