    Objectives and results
    The aim is to promote the capacities of public prosecutors, related law enforcement agents and other actors involved in the implementation of the reformed criminal legal framework to effectively fight against crime, with a focus on organized crime, corruption, financial crime and human trafficking, and to enhance the protection of human rights in criminal procedures in accordance with European standards.

    Activities undertaken/planned include:

    • Increasing the knowledge and skills of public prosecutors with a view to optimal implementation of the new rules on criminal procedure;
    • Practical preparation of the Judiciary Police for undertaking their new responsibilities in the pre-trial procedure;
    • Training of all actors in the newly established criminal proceedings;
    • Establishment of operational and functional Investigative Centres supporting the public prosecutors in the investigation and prosecution of crimes.
