The present report provides a description of the activities undertaken by the Special Rapporteur from 1 August 2012 to 31 July 2013.
It also contains a thematic analysis of the issue of trafficking in persons for the removal of organs, in which the Special Rapporteur specifically examines exploitation of persons who are compelled by need or force to provide organs for transplantation to people within their own countries or to foreigners.
Lastly, the Special Rapporteur offers conclusions and recommendations to States and stakeholders.
