Trafficking in human beings for the purpose of organ removal in the OSCE region: Analysis and Findings
OSCE Office of the Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, 8 July 2013, 80 pages
This Occasional Paper is based on actual reported incidents or cases of trafficking in human beings for the purpose of organ removal (THB/OR) that have been investigated to different degrees, and in some cases, fully prosecuted. This is the first research paper by OSCE based on an analysis of available case studies in the OSCE region. This paper doesn’t make any comparisons with the global context of the crime, even though the 2012 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons has identified a similar scope and scale of the crime.
