  • The dynamics of demand in trafficking in women for sexual exploitation

    The Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies in collaboration with the European Parliament Office in Cyprus are organising a half-day conference entitled “The demand dynamics of trafficking in women for sexual exploitation”, in Nicosia, Cyprus on the 4th of March 2014.

    The conference is organized within the framework of the project “Stop Human Trafficking: researching strategies to discourage demand for services from victims of sex trafficking” (www.stoptraffick.ie), coordinated by the Immigrant Council Ireland and funded by the Prevention of and Fight against Crime Programme, European Commission.

    The aim of the conference is to discuss and share knowledge, experiences and expertise on the main issues relating to demand reduction at the EU level and at the Member States level.
