    Objectives and results
The project contributed to the reform of the Criminal Code of Bosnia - Herzegovina regarding the offence of trafficking in human beings. The aim was to share European expertise on the implementation of EU legislation in this field with police officers and prosecutors.

Another priority was the protection of victims and the strengthening of cooperation between police, judicial services and victims.

A workshop was held in the framework of the project. It aimed at providing the audience with knowledge about EU legislation in the field and its implementation in EU Member States. Best practice examples and experience in EU member countries were presented too. Special emphasis was given to victims. Their protection when cooperating with judicial authorities, the mechanisms to facilitate the cooperation and the role of NGOs and other agents were discussed.

The seminar was attended by 40 public officials — policemen, prosecutors and social workers of NGOs.
