Targeted Call of expression of interest to participate in the EU Civil Society e-Platform against Trafficking in Human Beings
The Commission would like to invite civil society organisations working on trafficking in human beings, to express their interest to participate in the EU Civil Society e-Platform against Trafficking in Human Beings.
The present Call is open to civil society organisations that do not already participate in the EU Civil Society Platform on THB. In order to be eligible, they must be based in EU Member States or, in line with the priority countries listed in the Second Report on the implementation of the Action Oriented Paper, in the following neighbouring priority countries: Albania, Morocco, Turkey and Ukraine.
The idea of an additional online tool emerged during the first meeting of the EU Civil Society Platform, held in Brussels on the 31st of May 2013. Given its inception and scope, participants of the EU Civil Society Platform do NOT need to respond to the present Call for Expression of Interest. Nevertheless, they must confirm to the Commission their interest to be included in the e-Platform.
This new instrument will guarantee the continuity of discussions beyond the meetings of the EU Civil Society Platform, which will still take place on a regular basis, and it will expand their scope. Indeed, being also open to new additional participants, the e-Platform will ensure an inclusive approach, creating synergies between a wider range of organisations. The e-Platform, hosted and moderated by the European Commission, will be a space for discussion, sharing of information, exchange of good practices and for linking services and assistance provided to victims, aiming at ensuring a sustainable and regular dialogue between civil society organisations.
Please download and carefully read the Call for Expression of Interest. Note that it is an editable document. Duly complete it, filling in the dedicated spaces, and send it by the 15th of May 2014 to HOME-THB-EU-CIVIL-SOCIETY-PLATFORM@ec.europa.eu . Please note that late applications will not be considered. In case of technical problems, please contact HOME-ANTITRAFFICKING@ec.europa.eu .
