Block exemption in the agricultural and forestry sectors and in rural areas

At the latest 10 working days before the date of entry into force of a block exemption, Member States shall transmit to the Commission a summary information via the Commission's web notification application SANI.

Within 10 working days of receipt of that summary information, the Commission shall send to the Member State a notice of receipt with an identification number of the aid.

The Commission will publish the summary information in its Competition case database.

 

State aid notification in the agricultural and forestry sectors and in rural areas

A notification must be transmitted electronically via the Commission's web notification application SANI.

A notification must be accompanied by

  • the general notification form and
  • the specific notification form relating to the aid measure concerned.

These forms have to be sent as attachments within SANI.

 

Notification forms

Following the adoption on 25 June 2014 of the European Union Guidelines for State aid in the agriculture and forestry sector and in rural areas 2014 to 2020, new notification forms have been formally established through Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/246 of 3 February 2016 amending Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 794/2004 as regards the forms to be used for the notification of State aid in the agricultural and forestry sectors and in rural areas.

The forms are available in all official EU languages except Irish.

Simplified notification

This form may be used for the simplified notification pursuant to Article 4 (2) of the Commission Implementation Regulation N° 794/2004 of 21 April 2004 implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 659/1999.

>> Language waiver: for reasons of urgency Member States may waive their rights to receive the text in the authentic language; the language waiver shall be signed by a representative of the Member State’s addressee
