What do we call an innovative action?

The "innovative" nature of an action should be defined in its local context, where the action is being carried out. The actions which are described as "innovative" are either selected by the local action groups in order to illustrate their activities, or by the LEADER European Observatory in order to highlight major rural development issues in the European Union. The actions being selected at European level have gone through in-depth analysis in order to present the most innovative characteristics and draw on useful learnings for rural actors.

A guide is proposed for the selection and validation of innovative actions.
