Commission launches call for tenders for ex-post evaluation of School Fruit Scheme
The evaluation will examine the implementation of the School Fruit Scheme in the Member States and the effectiveness, efficiency and relevance of the specific measures, in particular concerning the establishment of well functioning School Fruit Schemes in the Member States and the impact of the Scheme on improving children's eating habits.
The evaluation will cover the 24 Member States currently participating in the Scheme for the first two years of application of the Scheme, the school years 2009/2010 and 2010/2011.
The contract will be awarded under the best-value-for-money procedure.
The maximum budget attributed to this project is EUR 250.000. The deadline for the submission of offers is 16 August 2011.
The Commission intends to award the contract in the last quarter of 2011, following the evaluation of the offers received. The contractor will have to carry out the study within 7 months following the signature of the contract.
