The European Commission has added eight names of agricultural products and foodstuffs to the Register of Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indications (PGI):

  • "Zázrivský korbáčik" (Cheese - PGI - Slovakia)
  • "Tekovský salámový syr" (Cheese - PGI - Slovakia)
  • "Oravský korbáčik" (Cheese - PGI - Slovakia)
  • "Chleb prądnicki" (Bread - PGI - Poland)
  • "Miele delle Dolomiti Bellunesi" (Honey - PDO - Italy)
  • "Fagioli Bianchi di Rotonda" (Beans - PDO - Italy)
  • "Pera de Lleida" (Pear - PDO - Spain)
  • "Mostviertler Birnmost" (Pear juice - PGI - Austria)

The four names are added to the list of more than 1000 product names already protected under the legislation on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin and traditional speciality.
