Forestry measures

EU Forest Action Plan

The Standing Forestry Committee (SFC), at its 88th meeting of 2 – 3 June 2005, decided that three thematic working groups should be set up in order to facilitate the preparation of the Action Plan:

• SFC Working group on the economic and social dimensions of forests and forestry (Group 1)
• SFC Working group on the ecological dimension of forests and forestry (Group 2)
• SFC Working group on coherence and coordination (Group 3)

The groups were composed of a limited number of national experts nominated by the members of the SFC. The meetings of the groups took place in Brussels:

• SFC Working Group 1: 2 December 2005 and 24 January 2006
• SFC Working Group 2: 5 December 2005 and 26 January 2006
• SFC Working Group 3: 7 December 2005 and 30 January 2006
