Financing the Common Agricultural Policy

Financial reports: EAGF

The European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) finances the expenditure on: refunds for the exportation of agricultural products to third countries; intervention measures to regulate agricultural markets; direct payments to farmers; information and promotion of agricultural products; restructuring aid, aid for diversification and transitional aid provided in the temporary scheme for the restructuring of the sugar industry in the Community.

It has replaced, as from 1 January 2007, the Guarantee Section of the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF), which had been in place since 1962, and whose Financial Reports 1999-2006 are available below.
