Conference "IFAJ 2010 – Brussels Session: a dialogue with international journalists"

This event was an opportunity for the European Commission to debate with agricultural journalists from within the EU and around the world on the future challenges for the Common Agricultural Policy.

The outline programme covered:

• "The Common Agricultural Policy reform process in perspective" by Tassos Haniotis, Director responsible for Economic analysis, perspectives and evaluation, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development [ppt]

• "The perspectives for rural development after 2013?" by Loretta Dormal-Marino, Deputy Director General responsible for Rural Development, Quality and Organic farming, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development [ppt]

• "The Common Agricultural Policy in a world context" by Jerzy Plewa, Deputy Director-General responsible for International Affairs, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development [ppt]

The conference was held on Thursday 22 April 2010 in the Charlemagne Building, DURIEUX Room, Rue de la Loi 170, Brussels, Belgium.
