2010 – Brussels Session: a dialogue with international journalists"
On 22 April 2010 the European Commission hosted the Brussels
Session of the 54th Annual Congress of the
International Federation of Agricultural Journalists - IFAJ 2010.
This event was an opportunity for the European Commission to
debate with agricultural journalists from within the EU and around
the world on the future challenges for the Common Agricultural
The outline programme covered:
- "The Common Agricultural Policy reform process in perspective"
by Tassos Haniotis, Director responsible for Economic analysis,
perspectives and evaluation, Directorate General for Agriculture
and Rural Development [ppt]
- "The perspectives for rural development after 2013?" by
Loretta Dormal-Marino, Deputy Director General responsible
for Rural Development, Quality and Organic farming,

- "The Common Agricultural Policy in a world context" by Jerzy
Plewa, Deputy Director-General responsible for International
Affairs, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural
