International Organisations and Conventions
Sustainable development, poverty reduction and food security issues are dealt with by a number of International Organisations and Conventions whose activities are actively supported or closely followed by the European Commission.
In the context of the global food security issue, the EU supports a reinforced coordination among donors, implementing agencies and beneficiary countries and the need for a renewed international partnership on food and agriculture, that could build on existing UN initiatives.
