2014:  International Year of Family Farming: an initiative promoted by the World Rural Forum and supported by over 360 civil society and farmers’ organizations to stimulate active policies for sustainable development of agricultural systems based farmer families, communal units, indigenous groups, cooperatives and fishing families

29/11/2013:  International Year of Family Farming Conference "Towards a more resilient European agricultural sector - the role of small scale and family farms", Brussels. This conference will feed into the FAO European Regional Conference in Bucharest in 2014 and the International Year of Family Farming in 2014.

07-18/10/2013Geographical indications workshops in African ACP countries

15/05/2013:  Brussels Briefing: "Food, geography and traditions: Protecting agricultural traditional products", looked at the challenges and opportunities for protecting traditional knowledge and registered agricultural products in a sustainable way.

10/04/2013:  Workshop "European Agribusiness in Africa: Opportunities and challenges", Brussels, looked to assess the potential of Africa-EU business cooperation to support the development of agri-food enterprises in Africa as a means of strengthening food security and creating wealth in rural communities across the continent.

10-11/11/2011:  Workshop "Creating value through Geographical Labelling and Indications: the Power of Origin" Kampala, brought together about 60 practitioners and experts from all over Africa and Europe in order to disseminate knowledge and enhance skills and the capacity of African producers, to identify and adding value to potential African GI products as well as create market opportunities for non-identified products.

11-12/07/2011:  Workshop "Building strategies for Africa: Adding-value through organic agriculture", Brussels, aimed at promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practice on organic farming among international experts, with a focus on Africa.
