Survey shows Ireland has the highest birth rate in Europe

A new Eurostat survey released today shows that Ireland continues to have one of the highest birth rates in Europe. The figures show that in 2009 the Irish birth was 16.8 births per thousand people and the death rate was only 6.6 deaths per thousand of the population, one of the lowest in Europe.
